Commercial Description:
Weizenheimer Wheat is a CBC's bavarian style hefeweizen. Our hefeweizen is made with a blend of German malted wheat and munich two-row barley. This beer is served unfiltered so that the brewery yeast remains in solution. Hefeweizens are highly carbonated in which to bring out the abundance of fruit filled aromas

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a cloudy pale yellow color with a thin ivory colored head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing. Aroma of wheat and banana. Light, clean body with flavors of wheat, banana and a touch of cloves. The finish is fruity and leaves a mild spice and wheat aftertaste. Fairly straightforward and average all around.

(Sampler @ 4 Queens, Las Vegas, NV): Cloudy yellow color, no head. Very lemony aroma. Lemony fizzy, banana taste. Tasty.

Cloudy, yet thin and watery yellow in appearance. Smells of orange rind, lemon and cloves. Taste is bland and boring. It has hints of that hefeweizen taste - but not much at all. Not a style I like and a very weak representative of the style!

Cloudy murky pale yellow pour. Smell is light clove, and the standard in hefeweizen yeast, but muted somewhat. Some wheat in the taste and light clove along with an enjoyable wheat finish. This was decent and one of their better beers, although I don’t typically enjoy the style a lot.

Sample tray. Cloudy pale yellow. Banana and sweet spice aroma carry over onto the palate, but it comes across as somewhat diluted, the flavours not quite living up to the aroma. Not bad.

Sampler. Cloudy dirty yellow. Very good aroma. Banana zestiness that makes you want to taste. Flavour is a little tired. Doesn’t match the bouquet. More lemon although some banana comes through in the finish.

Tap @ Four Queens. Pours a hazy orange/yellow color. Very slight yeast aroma. Somewhat bland and watery. Not a very good hefe.
