swiseman (200), Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada May 10, 2009 Another impressive beer from this brewery. typical Belgian wheat flavour, but what makes this beer so impressive is the high alcohol content that is not evident in the taste. In fact, I was surprised to see that this was 8% ABV. jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA May 7, 2009 From the tap poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice sweet malty flavor with a lasting finish. stobbe74 (655), Denmark May 6, 2009 Bottle, 33cl. Pours an unclear orange/golden beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is fruity and yeast. The flavor has fruits, yeast and a little alcohol. The palate is a little bitter, but still balanced. Overall this beer is easy drinkable, dispite the alcohollevel. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA May 3, 2009 bottle.
Gentle pour shows a hazy light orange color with a full inch and a half of thick white head that clears slowly to leave a thin layer of head and plenty of lacing. Nose of candi sugar and sticky sweet fruity phenols. Sweetness very heavy on the nose. Flavor does away with the overbearing sweet nose; crisp spice notes of coriander and some orange spice. Grainy yeast sharpness. Smooth tamed sugar sweetness and fruity boozy phenols. The nose may have been simple and sweet, but the flavor is incredibly deep and complex. Palate is full with some creamy sweetness. Suprisingly crisp finish. Overall... well, shit, it’s a superb brew. The nose disappoints a bit, but that is basically forgotten once the flavor is experienced. VTHopHead (895), Barre, Vermont, USA May 3, 2009 Draft - Poured a slightly hazy golden amber in color with a decent white head. Aroma is strong of spicy hops, citrus, some dark fruit and bready Belgian yeast. Flavor follows pretty closely. Finish is spicy and slightly bitter. Really good... TampaBrew (726), Tampa, Florida, USA May 3, 2009 Pours a hazy deep gold. Sweet nose, spicy, cloves, some banana. Flavor is spices, floral spiced hops, sweet candy sugar. Nicely carbed. guyinchicago (516), marengo, Illinois, USA May 3, 2009 Updated: May 7, 2009poured golden and hazy with white head aromas and flavors of spices and friuts been sitting on this one for a while after reading forums about how this is not as good as blue but a hell of a lot better than red now i ’m affraid to crack open red tgncc (796), Bellmore, New York, USA Apr 28, 2009 Aroma is spicy, yeasty, some orange peel, moderate amount of light fruityness. The appearance is a golden red color, strong white head, good lacing on glass. The Falvor is similar to the aroma, spicy, hoppy, yeasty, slighly fruity. The finish is more spicyness, and bittering hops. This is a decent trpiel, true to its style.
