Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Another impressive beer from this brewery. typical Belgian wheat flavour, but what makes this beer so impressive is the high alcohol content that is not evident in the taste. In fact, I was surprised to see that this was 8% ABV.

From the tap poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice sweet malty flavor with a lasting finish.

Bottle, 33cl. Pours an unclear orange/golden beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is fruity and yeast. The flavor has fruits, yeast and a little alcohol. The palate is a little bitter, but still balanced. Overall this beer is easy drinkable, dispite the alcohollevel.

bottle. Gentle pour shows a hazy light orange color with a full inch and a half of thick white head that clears slowly to leave a thin layer of head and plenty of lacing. Nose of candi sugar and sticky sweet fruity phenols. Sweetness very heavy on the nose. Flavor does away with the overbearing sweet nose; crisp spice notes of coriander and some orange spice. Grainy yeast sharpness. Smooth tamed sugar sweetness and fruity boozy phenols. The nose may have been simple and sweet, but the flavor is incredibly deep and complex. Palate is full with some creamy sweetness. Suprisingly crisp finish. Overall... well, shit, it’s a superb brew. The nose disappoints a bit, but that is basically forgotten once the flavor is experienced.

Draft - Poured a slightly hazy golden amber in color with a decent white head. Aroma is strong of spicy hops, citrus, some dark fruit and bready Belgian yeast. Flavor follows pretty closely. Finish is spicy and slightly bitter. Really good...

Aroma is spicy, yeasty, some orange peel, moderate amount of light fruityness. The appearance is a golden red color, strong white head, good lacing on glass. The Falvor is similar to the aroma, spicy, hoppy, yeasty, slighly fruity. The finish is more spicyness, and bittering hops. This is a decent trpiel, true to its style.
