Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Hazy golden in color.... Slightly fruity aroma... Slight bitterness in the flavor, yet smooth and drinkable like a wheat beer... Nice contrast from the brown sugar and sweetness of the Chimay blue... Still prefer the blue though...

In my mind, the best Belgian triple in the world. Love it and could sit and drink 10 of them. Nothin more to say except drink it if you havent already.

11.20oz bottle. This is my least favorite of the three Chimay styles I have tasted. It is a good example of a Belgian Tripel though I am not really that into Belgian Triples so I am not rating it as high as it probably should be. Pours a cloudy golden color. Yeasty and bready with hints of pepper.

The best tripel I’ve had so far. This used to be my least favorite style of Belgian but after this I don’t know. Light fruity aroma, with very cloudy, dark yellow with a huge white head. Flavor is fruity, sweet, hoppy and bready. Palate is medium, a bit chewy, and as smooth as it gets. Overall this beer is awesome.

Pale golden cloudy color. Smells of fruit and tastes fruity and yeasty. Nice crisp mouthfeel with a nice hint of bitterness.

Pours a cloudy orange-gold with a two finger white head. There is a noticeable amount of sediment floating after the pour. Aroma is malty, spicy, and yeasty. Some fruit in the smell also. Taste is malt, spice, a little orange peel, dark fruit. Very good beer, but not as great as I expected.

bottle. Poured cloudy amber with sediment and off-white tight bubbled head. Sharp mouthfeel, very dry and a bit sour. Bitter peppery hop finish that lingers and warms you up a bit. Quite overpouring, a want to drink a different beer to quench my thirst made by this one.

Pale golden color, white head. Aroma of hops and malts, some clove spices and yeast. Flavor is very malty, but nicely balanced by the hoppy bitterness and a slightly yeasty taste. Very smooth palate, soft and creamy mouthfeel with a medium texture. A nice balanced beer.
