Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Poured an off white head which laced well and lasted nicely. Body was light browinsh orange and had many small particles swirling inside. Attractive. Smelled of cinnamon, toffee, and brown sugar. The taste was a bit bitter for me, but also had a nice hop, citrus, and some yeast. Light dry palate, sits bitter at the back of the tounge.

12 oz bottle from Zenos. Cloudy, glowing light orange pour. Quite a bit of yeast in the aroma, also bitter oranges and spices. Too much bready yeast in the flavor, but really nices tones of mild citrus, far-eastern spices, and a pleasant hop finish. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Very good and satisfying brew, probably best enjoyed on a summer night.

Orange hue, cloudy with a huge light orange head that lasts forever. Takes patience to wait for it. Aroma is yeast, hop, dark fruits, and clove. Flavor is yeast and orange peel. It offers spices, pepper, hallertau hops. Such a good beer!

This is a great beer. I liked it better than the Chimay blue reserve and I typically like bitter dark beer. I will go as far as to say it is now my favorite. It very foamy so I had to wait to drink but it’s excellent. I can’t put my finger on the flavor they added but its creamy and superb. Not to expensive either. I can’t wait to have another.

Clove and Cinnamon aroma. Murky body clarity with medium body. Moderately bitter initial flavor. My least favorite of the Chimay’s. A little hoppy for the style, but not bad.

Pours a murky golden color. Good lacing. Aroma of light spice and bready malts. Intial flavor of spicy bready malts with a light alcohol finish. Not bad but I like the Westmalle triple better.

Bottle. Bubbly golden orange pour with white fizzy head. Spicy and sweet. Lots of yeast, some citrus, and a doughiness on the nose as well as some hops. Similar on the palate with some added apricot/peach and honey notes. Always a pleasure.

Bottle 33cl. Pours a very CO2 active clear golden colour with a nice big head. Very fresh lime smell with hints of spices. Really inviting and refreshing beers, makes you want more and more. Taste is clean hops and spices with a nice warm finish. Goes down great.
