Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Beautiful golden color, slightly opaque with a nice head. Sweet aroma with a light carbonated mouth-feel with a hoppy finish that’s dry and satisfying.

Quite simply my favourite beer in the world. Have had this on draught in my bar & would keep it on permanently if I didn’t think I’d drink too much of it. Easy-drinking for it’s strength, beautiful, lasting head, slightly sparkling taste to it. Just fantastic, like a stronger Orval.

Nice thick golden appearence, but brew was slightly hot and thin. Nice citrus hops, but slightly over-carbonated. Tasty treat but doesn’t allow you to retain it. however, it’s still worth every drop.

330 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden color, very big head. Bright aroma of citric hops. The taste is extremely smooth, with great undertones of hops and fruit. Very drinkable and quite appealing, Chimay can’t seem to go wrong.

holy cow is this a great beer. i am usually not a fan of belgain style beers, but this is just awesome. great hoppy/yeasty aroma, really well balanced. super smooth and drinkable. if i had to find a fault, it would be that it was a little too carbonated, but thats just picking nits.
