Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

hazy amber coloration with nice frothy head and great lacing. I’m very excited for this beer, as i have enjoyed what i’ve had from chimay and i’ve never had an abbey tripel before. aroma reminds me of a belgian white, but strong and very yeasty. very smooth flavor of yeast and slight hints of lemon and alcohol. nice dry finish, really delicious beer very different from my usual beer parousals. really really nice, especially as summer starts up.

Pours an opaque dark orange color with a very thick head even after a gentle pour. Very yeasty aroma with hints of fruit. The flavor is very sweet at first, but tarter fruit flavors and the alcohol bite quickly take over. A nice smooth drink. Not my favorite Belgian, but still very, very solid.

Poured a cloudy amber color with white frothy head. Yeasty aroma with cotton candy? Nice compliment of sublte favors. Smooth. Initial yeast taste with a hop aftertaste. Didn’t seem fruity as described. Full taste with a very soft bitter aftertaste. I do prefer the Red and Blue but nice beer.

One of the first belgian beers that I’ve had, and after trying many others, I was glad to have it again recently and find that I still like it as much as I remembered. Can’t say that for all my old favorites. Draft pour that was golden with a white one inch head. This beer is very good cold, and also as it warms.Nice mouthful, with hints of spices and fruit. Nicely carbonated.Hoppy nice with a slightly sweet finish. Great with a nice blue cheese burger.

Bomber bottle, poured a cloudy amber/orange color with a nice thick creamy head. There was a clean hoppy citrus fruit aroma. There was a creamy texture to the beer and a crisp smooth taste. Everything about this beer was mild and subtle. Nothing was overpowering, but there was a lot of different scents and flavors well blended. There was a light hoppiness and citrus flavor. The finish again was a mild bitterness with a subtle sweetness underneath. I split this bottle over dinner of grilled scallops & asparagus and this beer paired really well with the scallops mild sweet flavor. Excellent mild, clean, complex beer.

bottle shared with me by The_Captain. thanks Mark. pours a hazy golden color with a large white head composed of very fine bubbles. smells very fruity with notes of pear, apple, and grapes. flavor is very yeasty with the aforementioned fruit notes also present. light spice is present and bit of hop bitterness ties it all together nicely. a lovely beer but possibly my least favorite from Chimay.

Smaller bottle. Pours a hazy orange gold color with a smaller but lasting white head. The aroma is hoppy, yeast, and some fruit. The flavor is fruity, slightly spicy, yeast, sweet honey malts, with a slightly surprising bitterness. The alcohol is a bit warming. Decent, but not my favorite.
