Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

330 ml bottle. Hazy orange body with a huge, creamy off-white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy with some banana and caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, fruity like oranges, spicy, yeast and a hint of dry fruit. Medium-plus body and a nice warming finish with a pleasant bitterness. A complex beer and among the finest samples of triple.

Pours a bright golden yellow color. Aromas of hops, fruit, and a little yeast. Has a light fruity taste, with some yeasty notes, and a good hop flavor.

A nice amber pour slightly cloudy. Pleasing fruity aroma. Sour flavors with some spice. Small bitterness in the finish. Certainly a good tripel.

Pour is a cloudy blond with a large white head. Aroma is yeasty and creamy. Flavor is some spice and lemon with some yeast following up. Finsih is very creamy and smooth. Still this is just average as nothing really stands out.

Cloudy golden pour with a billowing cream colored head. Small brown floaties. A nice yeasty nose and a heavy bready spiciness. Sharp on the side of the tongue. Dry and creamy with a lasting hop finish. I’m a fan of the more subdued spiciness in this one.

33cl bottle from Wine Company, Slough.<./I> Slightly hazy amber with a loose off-white head; fresh aroma of hops and cinnamon, lightly carbonated; rich, buttery texture, sweet raisin and caramel malt flavours with some warming spice and alcohol to finish. Very pleasant.

33 ml. bottle. Pours cloudy and peachy amber in color with a large white head that dissipated rather rapidly. Aroma is citrus, spice, breadiness, malts and piney hops. Flavor is sweet and yeasty with lots of spice - coriander and pepper - with a strong hop finish. Nice round mouthfeel. Nice, but I like the other Chimay offerings better.

Decent head from the pour which is nice and frothy on top. Huge carbonation. Aroma is mainly yeast with a touch of citrus. Color is a medium orange/amber and is slightly hazy. Flavor is full but not that complex. More yeast and citrus with some spices added. The finish is the best part of this beer in my opinion. Nice and smooth with a slight hops bitterness and a nice alcohol warming. Very easy drinking, which could get you into trouble. A good quality triple.
