Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Body is golden with a slight haze. Particles were also present. Head is large and in charge and laces with great patience. Aroma was mild with floral notes. Taste was slightly fruity, spicey and quite hoppy. Finish was bitter.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Ripe fruit in the aroma, orange, peach, apricot and maybe even raspberry, as well as yeast. Medium body, very smooth. Flavor is tart and sweet, with orange, apricot, and floral hops, followed by a pleasantly bitter finish. Very well balanced and easy to drink. This is something I could drink every day.

11.2 Fl Oz bottle. Pour is a slightly cloudy orange yellow with a big, slowly fading white head. Some carbonation bubbles as well. Aroma is a bit skunky until it opens up to a yeasty, bready malt and a hint of hop. Taste is a bit sweet orange peel with a nice hop finish. Real nice body to this one. A bit of the skunk and funk re-appeared on the after taste. I am not convinces this was well cared for / fresh bottle. The alcohol is pretty well masked in this one.

11oz. bottle. Substantial white head, Great lacing. Spicey nose with some alc. aromas too. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, nice. Fruity, yeasty with a slight peppery flavor also. Has a noticable acidity too. Alcohol is evident in the dry finish.

From a bottle this poured into he Chimay glass a hazy golden color that looked kind of like honey. Nose is kind of mild, with banana the main aroma with some yeast and mild hops. Mouthfeel good but not exceptional. Flavor good and fruity, with a nice long finish that has just a hint of bitterness. Not the blockbuster brews of the Red and Blue, but nevertheless quite good.
