Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Orange in color with a thick off-white head. Aroma is heavy in yeastiness with some spiciness as well. Taste is spicy with some grain and yeast.

Orange hue, cloudy with a huge light orange head that lasts forever. Takes patience to wait for it. Aroma is yeast, hop, dark fruits, and clove. Flavor is yeast and orange peel. It offers spices, pepper, hallertau hops. Such a good beer!

Superb. A real benchmark of quality. Ethereal yet full bodied and full of flavor. Just a delight to drink.

Again, At first I was dissapointed. As is my experience with Chimay, it had an excellent head, I might even say the best appearance I’ve ever seen. Anyway, Very mild for the alcohol presence and if it were any other blond, I probably would have given it a higher mark.

Hazy golden color with a snow white head. Yeasty aroma with some banana and hints of hops. Citrusy flavor underneath the yeast. Slightly bitter, which was unexpected but not disliked. Another good Chimay.

11.2 oz bottle purchased at Spirits. Pours with an incredible white pillowy head, what else would you expect from a Trappist ale? Slightyl hazy orange/amber with fairly nice lacing. Big yeast aroma with notes of grain and malt. Palate is rather dry with a slight alcohol wrming and a medium mouthfeel. Bready flavor with some possible notes of banana and a bitter finish. Stick with the blue if your drinking Chimay it’s worth the extra money.

Cloudy orange-amber. Some sediment. Lots of carbonation. Soft, foamy white head. Yeasty (bubble gum, banana), spicy (pepper), & fruity (orange) aroma. Lively, highly carbonated, slightly astringent feel. Complex flavour of yeast (banana, bubble gum), pepper, light malt, & fruit (orange, peach). Firm, dry finish.

11.2 oz bottle. Cloudy amber honey with streaming bubbles. Creamy white head; ready to shave. Umber streaks emerge. Aroma of soft dough, orange, banana, melon and Vienna Fingers. Simple but classic. Sour citrusy taste with apple and faint ginger(?). Not sweet; slight champagne vinegar. Nice full mouthfeel but still light. Finish is dry but leaves a oily, buttery coating; odd.
