Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

The best tripel I’ve had so far. This used to be my least favorite style of Belgian but after this I don’t know. Light fruity aroma, with very cloudy, dark yellow with a huge white head. Flavor is fruity, sweet, hoppy and bready. Palate is medium, a bit chewy, and as smooth as it gets. Overall this beer is awesome.

On tap at Pizzaman’s in Milwaukee. Appearance is a golden amber, with a frothy, foamy head. Smell is grainy and a little floral. Tastes sweet, with a hint of green apples--refined and complex, yet simple. Slightly dry and impeccably smooth. Completely intoxicating, and leaves one feeling as if floating on a cloud. Miraculously heavenly.

Probably paid to much but it was with a nice dinner and i was shocked to see it on the menu at a cuban restaurant. Excellent taste, very smooth. A true abbey triple.

a very drinkable beer for its alc% and cloud, and unlike many of the better Belguim beers, its not too hard to find in your liquor stores.

bottle 33cl and tap(1 of the 2 trappists on tap only!),fine creamy head, the tapversion is lighter golden colored. I prefere the tapversion. More hoppy and bitter than the bottle version. a hint of muscat. Deliciously dangerous! :-)

This is a great beer. I liked it better than the Chimay blue reserve and I typically like bitter dark beer. I will go as far as to say it is now my favorite. It very foamy so I had to wait to drink but it’s excellent. I can’t put my finger on the flavor they added but its creamy and superb. Not to expensive either. I can’t wait to have another.
