Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

bottle 33cl and tap(1 of the 2 trappists on tap only!),fine creamy head, the tapversion is lighter golden colored. I prefere the tapversion. More hoppy and bitter than the bottle version. a hint of muscat. Deliciously dangerous! :-)

This is a great beer. I liked it better than the Chimay blue reserve and I typically like bitter dark beer. I will go as far as to say it is now my favorite. It very foamy so I had to wait to drink but it’s excellent. I can’t put my finger on the flavor they added but its creamy and superb. Not to expensive either. I can’t wait to have another.

pours a beautiful golden color with a slight haze and a frothy white foam that lasted a while with a nice lace remaining through out the entire glass. First few sips were rather strong but became smoother with each sip. Sweet citrus and raisin flavor with an amaizing finish. Nice carbonation with bubbles dancing around thru the entire glass. Over all this is a fantastic beer. I may be new at this rating beer thing but i know what is good and this stuff is just that.

Sweetbread aroma with a hint of vanilla off the bottle. Amazing pour with a deep head that forms on a beautiful golden pearling liquid. Already impressed the first sip lives up to expectations with just enough sweet raisiny malt and gentle spice. Chimay Blanche is excellence in beer.

Pours a tawny golden color w a full, semi cremy froth. Superb head retention. Lacing is full and clumpy. Aroma is nice w/ banana spice. Medium nectar w/ fluffy residual effers. The texture is very silky. This is a strong flavored tripel w/ exceptional balance and drinkability. Theres a defined mild hop profile w/ nuances of banana fruit spice, green tea, and bitter lime rind. The finish is long and bittered w/ lime rind. Highly recommended.

Lots of pumpkin-like spice, fruit floral notes and caramel in the nose. Banana, pumpkin, earth and smoke with peppery notes following up. Nice velvety finish.

Smells... refreshing. That’s the best way to put it. Poured with a MASSIVE head - spilled some, in fact, but the color is fantastic. Another beer with the type of flavor that makes you want to drink it socially. Thin, a little oily, just as I like it. Just overall a really good beer.
