Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

In a word, delicious. This delicate. creamy brew pours to a dark golden color, with good carbonation. The thick foamy white head dissipates quickly with minamal lacing. This beer is gently malty, with almost no hop flavor. This beer tastes like a rich desert, peaches or apricots drizzled with sugar and ladled with thick dollaps of cream and vanilla. In spite of the 8% ABV the alcohol taste was minimal. It's hard to believe this beer is slightly stronger than the darker and fuller-flavored Chimay Rouge. A smooth, extremely drinkable Belgian Ale, this beer is my favorite Chimay.

Poured a lot like an ale (transparent orange-brown) but has a huge, cloudy and slightly off-white head. Aroma was light and perfumey. Fresh rain, evergreen, and lemon. Distinct and amazing. The flavor is exceptional and the palate is incredible. Subtle yet very complex. Taste is champagne, not quite yet ripe orange, leather, and soap lather. Despite the fact that these don’t sound like good flavors, this is an amazingly unique flavor. The finish is smooth and slightly yeasty. The flavor is mellow in the finish with plenty of time to enjoy.

This fine beer is what a Belgium Ale should be. Spiced aromatics of Corriander, orange and more, which is slightly greater than the malts and hops. The flavor is clean with a well balanced hop bitters that lingers. Overall the beer is dry, light and very drinkable. In other words, give me another. Cheers

Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aromas of bread, dough, flowers, grass and citrus. Excellent flavors of hops and fruitiness with a slightly bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation that tingles on the tongue. A very well made tripel, one of my favories.

Pours to an off-white, thick head. Initial taste was malty and creamy.Prevailing flavors of bananas and fruits. Finish was complex, roasty and sweet. Aftertaste was short and slightly bitter. Very good beer.

On tap at the Malthouse. Pours a cloudy deep golden. Big head when served but dissipates to a thin layer which lingers. Stronger aromas than what I remember out of a bottle of citrus and vanilla. A bitter palate with loads of spice and a subtle sweetness. Finishes smoothly with a lingering bitterness.

330 ml. bottle. This was the first Tripel and also Trappist beer that I ever tasted. And also the reason to have them more. It still is the same: lovely bitter and still malty sweet with amazingly soft mouthfeel and freshness. A bit alcoholic when drank as cold as recommended. One of my all time favourites. It’s shamefull that the Finnish liqueur-monopol removed this brilliant beer from theis selection! Luckily I managed to hoard some bottles.
