Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

750mL bottle sampled out of a Trappist glass. I LOVE this beer! A light fruity aroma with a bright white medium to large sized head. Pleasing golden color somewhat like Duvel, but with a bit more haze. Very lively carbonation with some hop bitterness. Dry finish. Another excellent beer from Chimay!

I am in love with this beer. I love Tripel. And La Blanche is a Tripel among Tripels, for sure. Try as I might, I could find no fault with this brew -- much like Mary Poppins, it is Practically Perfect in Every Way. My current favorite aspect is the nose/aroma -- I would be content to sit and smell the glass for an afternoon. It’s that hint of springtime rhododendron/azalea blooms that sends me over the edge. And the palate/mouthfeel -- c’est orgasmique.

Quite simply my favourite beer in the world. Have had this on draught in my bar & would keep it on permanently if I didn’t think I’d drink too much of it. Easy-drinking for it’s strength, beautiful, lasting head, slightly sparkling taste to it. Just fantastic, like a stronger Orval.

One of the most balance blondes. My favorite beer when eating sushi. A thick, lively beer with plenty of flavor.

Bottle. TOP 3 ! for me. It only gets better.Like some have said, fruity and floral. One of the best beers that I’ve ever enjoyed. A great Summer brew. The fruity notes combined with the hops makes it very well balanced.

This most famous of the Trappist brews doesn’t disappoint with its white - it is beautiful on the palate. A rich, spicy and sweet flavor that delights your tongue with taste.
