Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Not as good as Chimay Bleu but thats only because its not dark and yeasty enough. Very drinkable, though.

Wow, Pours golden with a white head. Very, very smooth and bright for a triple. Smell the wonderful hops and yeast. I have wanted to try Chimays trappists for a very long time and I am very impressed. Thanks to the monks, keep the wonderful brews flowing around the world.

Bottle into glass. Nice frothy head that left plenty of lacing. Aroma of grapes and just general sweetness. INcredibly smooth drinking with the alcohol detectable at the finish. Carbonation was a little high for my taste. All in all just an excellent beer.

Bottle: Trappist Glass. One of the nicest commercial ones from Belgium. Great murkey looking nut-orange colour with a great big white head. One of the best balanced flavours. Hints of Hops, fruit (Not too much) and of course yeast, but like I said well balanced. Almost as good as their Grand Reserve. Laceing is ok, not the best as it gets a bit thin, but with dynamics like that, who cares??? Good carbonation, not to effervescent, slightly creamy. A truly well rounded one to savour and enjoy.

Tap at Papago and my 500th rating. A beautiful, tasty beer that is probably even better out of the bottle. Aromatic notes of flour, soft apple and cream. Tastes of the same along with wheat, light citric zest and a wonderful patina of vanilla at the close. Smooth and calming.

An excellent beer. Pours cloudy, dark anber with significant head. Aroma is full and inviting, lots of spice. Taste is delicious with a creamy, lively, palate. . Lots of different spices in the nose. Definitly a sipping beer.

My favorite of the Chimay offerrings. Very good triple. I need to get another bottle of this because I don’t remember the exact flavors and aroma, just that it was a huge hit with my tasting friend and I. UPDATE tasted again on draft: Pours a hazy golden color. Great bannana aroma. Typical candy-like sweetness from the added fermentable sugars. Spice and mild citrus fruit on the tongue. Good bitterness and clean finish.
