Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Light golden copper color, with a large fluffy white head. Heavy clove and banana aroma. Light clove, banana, spice and sweet malt flavors with a nice hoppy bite. Medium carbonation with a fairly dry finish.

Not as good as Chimay Bleu but thats only because its not dark and yeasty enough. Very drinkable, though.

Another good ale from Chimay. This one seems to be the lightest in terms of flavor and complexity which makes it a little more drinkable in large amounts. Nice thick, fluffy head that lasts. Small touch of fruit with a nice full flavor.

On tap. Poured a hazy orange with a huge head and great lace. This one had a nice sour citrus flavor with a little tiny hint of alcohol. Another very enjoyable beer that I can't get at home. Stupid alcohol laws...

The most delicious beer I've ever tasted. Slightly sweet, slightly bitter, but with no barky or herbal taste in the bitterness of the aftertaste. The sweetness is very light and smooth, which makes this beer exceptionally drinkable without any of the buildup of bitterness that you'd see in a different sweet style, like an oatmeal stout.

Hazy golden color, fluffy head, tastes of banana and clove. Great Tripel. Finishes dry and smooth.
