Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

I could really dig this beer. It reminds me of a four 0 cause of the size, so i put it in a bag and enjoyed. Its kinda like what ya drink after a ghetto wedding. Whats with all the names, does this beer think its prince or what? I say it should go with the cinq cents cause it sounds cool and also becuase the blanche thing gives me visions of the golden girls. As far as the beer itself, it was really good, one of the best. It tasted a lil bit weird at first, but very good. Lots of cool flavors in this, but my belgian palate was not what it is now, so i want some more.

Appearence is really excellent - a 5 in fact. Oh so smooth with lovely fruity, yeasty flavours. Could have done with a bit more spiciness but it’s great all the same.

This tasted like a New Belgium Trippel with extra hops. It was a VERY similar taste as I had them both at the same time. The Chimay just had more hop edge to it. Very enjoyable beer. I look forward to getting some more of this.

I really don’t think chimay could make a bad beer if they tried. Slightly sweet citrus flavor which hides the alcohol. Another winner.

Lots of carbonation, thick white head. Citric aroma and flavor.

A great beer. Part of a 3-pak with a free Chimay glass for $6.99, what a bargain. I would have bought all of them if they had more than one. Beautiful hops, great orange/brown color, creamy white head. Not as good as the Blue but definitely something I could drink a lot of.

This was a 15mo old bottle. Pours a nice medium golden color with a big white head. Has a nice hoppy, yeasty aroma typical of a Belgian strong ale. The flavor is a perfect blend between hops, malts, and spices with a perfect level of carbonation. I think I like this one better than the Grande Reserve. A very nice ale and well worth the price.
