Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Golden color with generous head. Yeasty and malty with hints of citrus. Sweet at first with slight bitter finish. The best triple I have had.

Drank it at Sunny’s, Bangalore. Pours a hazy orange. Flavor is malty and fruity. Awesome finish - a hoppy bite that gives this beer great character

large bottle as shown. Poured a hazy golden color with a medium white head that stays. The aroma is citrus and hoppy. Nice lacing with a very sweet taste and a crisp finish. Another glorious brew from chimay.

The first "good" beer I ever had, and this is the first I’ve tried it again since. Decent look, slightly hazy yellow with average retention and lacing. Pleasant aromas of flowers, yeast, bananas, other fruits. Quite sweet but not cloying, more banana, creamy, a touch of bitterness, finishing with a metallic (but not as much so as Orval), clean balance.

Had a much fresher version than I have been drinking recently and it really showed in aroma. Real hop aroma, some resin and citrus combined with a distinct clove character. Lots of hops race around the palate, oranges and spices and a full malt body all interplay on the path to a dryness and bitterness that last. Perhaps with some black pudding or soused mackerel? I have always had a fondness for the slightly hazy golden tinged orange colour. It looks great and strangely perfect in a Chimay glass.

Bottle - Poured into brandy snifter (perhaps not the best choice, but just for kicks). Nice, pale orange color, great head. Flavor is excellent, with a malty fruitiness and hints of, again, oranges and alcohol. Beautiful beer.

Poured a very hazy honey-yellow with what looked like pulp. White head. Aroma is light but there are undertones of sugar and yeast. Flavor is definitely yeast with sugared lemon. Body is fairly light with just a bit of carbonation. Definitely a good tripel.
