Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Alcohol, butterscotch and orange on the aroma. Beer is a translucent yellow-orange with a white, tightly nit head. A slightly sharp, tingly feeling on the tongue that is very pleasant! An amazingly complex beer for such a light color. Tasty citrus notes throughout. Much smoother than the Chimay Blue.

Hazy yellow colour with some sediment. Hop nose. Taste is a full palate of hop and yeast. A little bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall one of the better beers I’ve ever had.

Bottle at the Garrison Ale House in Fredericton. A: The bottle was brought to me, and then poured into a tulip glass by my server... noooo!! It was all poured into the glass, at an angle the whole time, in one pour, resulting in barely any head, and no opportunity for swirling the last of the beer. Crap. So, obviously the appearance has been affected. However, the beer was still a nice, dark orange color, and very hazy. S: Great aroma of yeast and fruitiness... some citrus and maybe banana as well? Very enjoyable. T: Very nice taste... starts off with the yeastiness, then the citrus notes come creeping in. Very slight presence of alcohol at the end, with the warming sensation, but it’s all good. M: Nice and smooth on the palate, slightly creamy. Good carbonation, not overwhelming at all. D: Another fantastic tripel... I’d love to try it again, if only so I could get a proper pour, but I have no doubt I would enjoy it at least as much. A great sipping beer.

Appears hazy reddish orange with a thick rich head. Smells yeasty with hints of orange and some floral aromas. There is a sharp bite added with mixed spicy bitterness. The taste slowly mellows out, with a smooth clean finish. This is easily drinkable, in fact I drank it way to quickly without realizing it. It achieves both refreshment and complexity. There is just the right amount of alcohol presence, not overpowering, but you know its there

Served chilled. Pours cloudy golden with large white head. Taste is spicy with notes of fruit and hop. Alcohol taste is present but not overpowering. Hop taste in the finish. This is very well balanced. A delightful experience to be savored.

On tap this pours a hazy golden color with a medium long standing white head that leaves nice lacing behind. Spicy crisp aroma of corriander, clove, bread, and citrus fruits. Very well balanced with a lot of crisp/dry snap to it, citrus flavors throughout with some orange peel and spice in the finish. Great brew that is very floral on tap.

A beautiful golden color in the glass. Drinks smooth and easy, but you never forget the mild hoppiness. Easy to drink too many of these.
