Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Had this at the Yardhouse. Very aromatic triple. Lots of yeast and fruit on the nose. Loved how this one tasted of fruits and bread dough. Very good.

Bottle. The triple smells very sweet and malty, strong aroma of bread, a soft fruity smell. The head is large, light beige and creamy with a long duration. The body is cloudy and orange-brown. The taste is malty with a light bitter touch. The finish is bitter and light metallic. The body is very creamy and silky, medium strong with a normal carbonation.

I did drink one of these beers but has been awhile ago and I don’t recall all of the details - good beer though and will have it again.

Bottled, pours clear amber/golden in color, with small white head. It has aromas of floral hops and citrus rind with a touch of yeast. It has a light body with a slightly bitter bite. It is a smooth triple with a carbonated finish of floral hoppiness.

Pours almost clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma is yeasty and of freshly baked bread and citrus. Flavor is bitter and full. Creamy texture and good carbonation. Nice long bittersweet finish. Very decent triple.

Refigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours a dark golden color that is a little hazy with a nice head that disapears fairly quickly. The taste is fruity (tones are mostly pear and apple), malty, and is warming. Good beer.

330 ml bottle served with a Chimay Blue and Chimay Cheese. Pretty good stuff. Pours a hazy dark orange with a creamy foamy head. Aromas are fruity, yeasty, and a little hoppy. Flavors aren’t really sweet at all but have good a good fruit component. Pretty of yeasty, dough flavors. Pretty bready as well. Goes great with Chimay Cheese if you can find it. Found mine at Whole Foods.

Hazy dark orange, creamy cream head. Smells of citrus peel, dough, vanilla, hard pears, soy sauce, candied ginger, white pepper. Some remaining yeasty carbonation -.I’m not all that keen, but that’s the style. Some fortified wine/ singed character associated with the not quite hidden alcohol . The fruitiness gives way to a really dry finish. It’s good, but that second tier of complexity I was hoping for wasn’t there.
