Oct 2, 2009 This bottled sake from a bottle shop poured a head of medium sized clear colored bubbles that were very quickly diminishing and left behind a transparent uncarbonated clear colored body and no lacing. The mild aroma was polished rice. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a strong vinous alcohol aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of vinous alcohol and polished rice. An OK typical alcohol burn sake. Nothing special but the name "Oni No Shit A Burui?" Heh but on my label it’s all one word "The Refined Sake" Oninoshitaburui .
Slightly off water-white color. Aroma is distinctively grainy with hints of banana leaf and banana peel. The flavor is very full bodied and savory, almost a little mushroom-y, with a fairly heavy and viscous mouthfeel. Light acidity on the finish. This would be nice with some heartier Japanese fare.
