| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Bottle poured into a Chimay challis produced a short lived white head that faded away to nothing. The body was a wonderful ruby red in color.
I would have never guessed this was a sour by the bottle, now the aroma is a different story. It reminded me of a Flemish red with a ton of sour cherries and apples with a splash of wet horse. The brew is rather light in your mouth with light carbonation. The flavors mimic the nose tons of sour fruit cherries and apples.
It was a nice change for me I enjoyed the brew but one glass would be enough at a sitting just like most sours for me. Not a bad brew but not what I expected.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Bottle. First impression was did this beer get infected or was the sourness on purpose? I’ve noticed other raters saying the same, so I guess that’s just how it is. Flavor is light lemon tart and grassy, not much malt of hops present. Slight peppery finish. Not really what I was expecting, but OK. Get it, OK? hahahaha. jzzbassman (851), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2009 Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Berries, malt, and yeast. Wow, almost a sour.....doubt this was intentional but I actually like the lemon peel tart finish. A bit thin bodied, but overall enjoyable. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

I think it might have just turned out that way, I don’t think it is intentional, or infected by accident. Simple but good flavor, some sour fruit, no trace of hops. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Sampled during the Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis, MN. From a 22-oz bomber pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of Belgian yeast, some bread and caramel malt, a touch of lemon and clove. Taste is medium bodied, slightly tart with flavors of yeast, some dark pitted fruits and cloves. Finish continues a tart aftertaste with some yeast and caramel malt flavors. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 6, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a copper color with very little head at all. Aroma of funk, unrefined sugar and some molasses. Biscuit and bread notes dominate the taste, while I didn’t get much in the way of hops at all. A good amount of yeast flavors as well, especially fruits/citrus. A tart finish. Actually a pretty interesting beer that I liked more than some of the other Krebs offerings.
