Commercial Description:
The Belgian-style Dubbel is a beer style crafted by and made famous by the Trappist Monks of Belgium. Our version is deep ruby red and malty with just enough phenols and esters from the Belgian yeast to bring the complex flavors from a beer of this style into balance. We hope you enjoy Brewmasters Signature Series beer #2, feel free to share your thoughts about this beer at www.chocbeer.com Beers, Michael Lalli

Amber. Flat. Light berryish aroma is also a bit bubblegummy. Highly carbonated with a footy, dusty yeast character that is unbecoming to a dubbel. There’s a touch of band-aid phenol late. The malt character is lacking and there is none of the dark fruit richness you’d want to see in a dubbel. I found nothing to recommend here.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Damn this isn’t too good. Oklahoma and Belgian style beers don’t mix. Brown/mahogany color wtih no real head. Aroma is bland with some malt, yeast and lemons. Flavor is putrid to be honest. Combine apple juice and michelob and this is the beer you get. Wow.

Aroma is mainly sweet....mostly a belgian-like sugar, with some hints of caramel and raisins. flavor is sweet and fruity....definite presence of esters (banana, fig) with some candy sugar and caramel notes. Not bad for a Trappist-style beer brewed in Oklahoma.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a small, off-white head and a clear amber body. Aroma is fruity with chocolate, light banana esters and wheat. Taste is apple, candi sugar, and the sugary green apple taste you get from unfinished beer (acetaldehyde). Fizzy-ish mouthfeel and watery.
