Nov 10, 2009 Nice almost perfect clear amber color. Not too light or too dark. 1/2" head that becomes a thin foamy layer leaving minimal lacing.
Smells of sweet malts and yeasty bananas. Some spicy floral thrown in for good measure. A light hint of apples and pears.
Taste is very good. The apples come to the front on this one. Maltiness follows close behind bringing pears, caramel, and spices with it.
Nice tight little bubbles help create a very nice feel. Like lightly bubbled velvet.
Very good drinking to be done with this bottle. Light enough to enjoy many, and often. The alcohol can creep up on you, though, so watch yourself!

Jun 14, 2009 Light copper, medium head, and high lacing. Some corny aroma. Highly carbed with a sour green apple flavor, bitter aftertaste. Dry winy flavor. This tastes a lot like that Duchess sour ale. Not as bad as it could be.

Jun 6, 2009 Bomber from ericandersnavy. Thanks for another rare (to me anyway) brew! Pours a hazy apricot with a decent off-white head. Mild aromas of funk and citrus. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is mildly sweet malt, yeast spice, and light funk. Seems maltier than most biere de garde I can recall, but it drinks extremely well.

Apr 14, 2009 Bottle. Slightly cloudy with a fluffy cheesy head. Aroma is earthy and sweet. Taste is rice and caramel malts with some bread and sweetness. Light brown sugar. Creamy and just ok for me.

Mar 18, 2009 This one was surprisingly tasty. Nice fruity aroma with hints of malt and yeast. Flavor is fruity and sweet, with notes of caramel and honey, as well as malt and yeast. Light and crisp finish.

Feb 19, 2009 Amber in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of honey, apples, and grain. Taste is of sweet malts, fruit, toast, and toffee.

Jan 27, 2009 bottle picked up a cache road discount liqour in lawton, ok. poured a cloudy amber with a white head. aroma of berries, sour apple, and some tartness. flavor was tart and sour. this was my first biere de garde and not real sure about the style just yet.
