drywall_man (196), Lake in the Hills, Illinois, USA Aug 26, 2008 This one poured out a dark orange with a tan pillowy head. The aroma and taste was of grainy wheat with an almost nutty/graham cracker sweetness. It went down easily and had a bit of lemon at the end. I could drink a lot of this. fakepurseninja (478), Sammamish, Washington, USA Aug 25, 2008 Really like the bottle art - lots of work went into it and it really was well done. Pale hazy orange body with almost no head. Soft spice notes on top of a lemony wheat malt backbone. Light banana and clove. Nice wheaty malt residue on the finish. Really refreshing summer drink - a tad bland but still a good, light version of this style. beerbill (1248), Laurel, New York, USA Aug 13, 2008 Its getting towards the end of the summer, and I just finished attending a festival over the weekend where it seemed every other beer I drank was a wheat beer of some sort. I’m ready for a good pumpkin ale or an oktoberfest at this point. So tonight for dinner, what do I do? I crack open another wheat. To my surprise, I found myself liking this one despite my current attitude towards them. Pours a very cloudy yellow gold with a moderate-thin white head that lasted through three-quarters of the glass and left a few spots of lace. Lemon and wax beans in the aroma. A bit odd, the wax beans that is, but not offensive. The flavor is quite nice actually with lemon, candied lemon peel, and wheat. Crisp, refreshing and enjoyable. dchmela (695), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 12, 2008 Thanks to Ian for the Okie beer. Cloudy light amber pour with thin white head. Sweet malty wheaty, candy aroma. Taste is wheat and malt, just a little sweetness. Very easy drinking. agillespie81 (100), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 26, 2008 Light golden color......extremely hazy, to the point of being opaque. Fluffy head, though it fades a tad quick. Very mild wheat malt aroma. Slight wheat flavor in the front, with a few noticeable hints of citrus......mouthfeel is slightly crisp. Taste of citrus subtly continues in the back, with a very heavy influx of spice......finishes with a slight tang.
