Draught@Hospudka U Chalupce (hope i spelled that right). On the sweet side wih notes of caramel and light cocoa chocolate, some raisiny fruit. The mouthfeel is quite soft and round, quite drinkable. Touch too sweet for me maybe.

Jul 3, 2008 From tap at Hospůdka v Chaloupce. Pours dark redish brown with a lacing white head. Roasted malt and light butterish aroma. Aroma is mild roasted malt. Flavour is sweet and roasted malt. Ends mild sweet and dry. Light raisin flavoured too.

How: Tap at Pivovar Berounsky Medved, Beroun, Czech Repulic
The look: Dark ruby body with a large beige head
To me a typical Czech Tmavé (Czech Black Lager) is: Dark malts and barely any roastiness sensation. Some dark fruits flavours (raisins with a little figs, dates and prunes) wrapped in smooth dark caramel (borderline toffee) and a subtle chocolate note. A bit bready. Moderately sweet without much hops presence and only a mild bitterness (voluntary unbalanced it seems). Very smooth body, like a watery cream.
This one: As above but more fruity (borderline fruit juice) even reaching kiwis and tropical fruits flavours. Very bland, borderline bad.

Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goűt de caramel fruité avec une pointe chocolatée. Durée moyenne de l’arričre goűt. Palette: Le corps et la texture sont mince. Faible effervescenc en bouche. Arričre goűt fruité. (Rating #1547)

Mar 27, 2008 Bottled 50cl. It pours a dark ruby beer with a mocha head. The nose is of raisins, roasted malt, apples and coconut accompanied by a slight hint of pineapple and freshly cut grass. Low bitterness. Sweet buttery taste. Some plums, raisins and chocolate showing up. Smooth and subtle. Lightly grassy with a buttery finish with a hint of candy accompanied by a smoky component. A sweet beer with a low bitterness. Light bodied. Decent, nothing special.
