(75cl bottle, 6.66% abv) Hazy, amber colour with a thick and slowly lacing off-white foamy head. Sweet and toasty malty, slightly fruity aroma with notes of caramel, candy sugar and spicy elements. Moderately bitter flavour, full bodied with a calm carbonation. Solid toast-malty base with caramel/toffee and buttery flavours, accompanied by very subtle fruity and spicy elements. Bitter-sweet malt-accented and slightly hoppy finish (22.VII.09).

bottle, pours light amber with a tall off white head. Carmel malt aroma. Malty body ends with an awkward penny in the mouth metalic finish. Mildly bitter.

At a tasting, thanks DSG. Big head with big bubbles that stays for quite a while, lots of carbonation, clear light coppery colour, aroma of mushroom, stale bread and honey wax. Light malty flavour with a strange bitter sour sensation. Overall a fairly light bodied beer, i expected something with a bigger body and personality.

THanks Barak (DSG), clear amber red with giant creamy (color and texture) head, nice acisic aroma with some malt wine and marmalade, herby flavors some haynuts low sweetness and white wine acidity, finishes with malt and liquirice. Great beer, quite refreshing

Bottle sample at a tasting. 6.66% Thanks bierkoning for getting me this one! Pretty color of red-amber with a huge beige head. Aroma of lots of malt, some figs and raisin notes and some yeast. Sweet malty flavor with some butter, some fruitiness and a long bitter finish with some spicy hops. Medium-bodied. As I drink more of it the hops get more dominant over the not-too-great maltiness and I seem to like it better.

Clear amber red body with a rocky head that hung around for a while and left clumps of lacing. In the taste there is caramel and some burnt notes, a little sweet, medium body, hints of raisins and in the aroma I pick up some lemon.

Bottle picked up at the brewery store from a Sep 2008 visit with my brother. The beer poured a brilliantly clear, off white head, massive and fluffy. The aroma was slightly citrus and a nice malt tone as well. The taste is very pleasing. Nice toasted character and some caramel notes and also a good bitterness on the tongue. Definitely worth picking up if you can find.

At Dopey’s Elixir. Amber body with large head. Malty and grassy nose. Sweet and bitter taste. Caramel malt flavours. Dry finish. Enjoyable.
