jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA May 18, 2009 Cloudy golden appearance with a thick frothy off-white head. Aroma is of citrus, yeast, dough, and peaches. Taste is of orange, citrusy hops, dirt, grass, earth. ansermadide (496), Kyle, Texas, USA May 17, 2009 Sample at 3rd Annual Great Austin Belgian Beer Festival on May 16, 2009. Losing memory for the review (too many samples by this time), but I did manage to write down the numbers. Wow, this one was good. Nose was a little sour and yeasty. A lightly astringent flavor with hop notes. Alcohol is apparent. Great job trying to mix an IPA with a tripel... Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA May 16, 2009 Clear yellow. Light amount of hops. Fruity yet holds the bitter finish attributed to hops. Interesting to say the least. Extremely dry finish however. Meh, this didn’t do much for me. tomer (365), Rishon Le Zion, Israel May 16, 2009 0.75L bottle. huge extremely thick head that lasts for ages and looks and feels almost solid, golden colour. Aroma made of tropical fruit, peach whiff of rose petals and a pronounced flavour of vanila pod. svery strong hoppy bitterness with flavours of grapefruit and lemon. the bitterness is so overpowering that it becomes a bitter aftertaste of extreme lenght that does not fade for a long time PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada May 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours transparent, golden with a fantastic, foaming white head and lots of lacing. The lacing is super dense like a cloud of fog across the whole glass. Carbonation is light. Head is really densely thick, beautiful. There’s apricot in the aroma with something herbal (juniper?), some alcohol, light hops, wood. Mouthfeel is resinous, coating, smooth. The flavour has strong hop bitterness up front, juniper, pine. It has a gin like quality. There’s lemon and other hints of citrus fruits, a wonderfully subtle taste of grains, then a light hop finish. ChrisThomson (378), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy golden colour with big foamy white head. Aroma of hops, yeasts and ciitrus. Taste is amazingly well balanced mix of citrus, and spicy tripel character with nice hoppy IPA blast. Great beer! YK23 (253), Haifa, Israel May 9, 2009 Bottle: lovely beer, quite hoppy, alcohol well hidden, fruity, some dusty yeasty character, some lemon and tangerine notes, overall bitter but very well balanced beer, very enjoyable. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA May 8, 2009 Very earthy, bready yeasty, musty aroma. I think this beer is the epitome of balance. Its got fruitiness, spice, a hoppy bitterness, although i think its more of a English hopping, a bit earthy imo. Very light and dry, perfectly carbonated. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. The hops are not as prevalent as described to me, although they fit in nicely. This is just well done all around.
