Commercial Description:
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Draft at Tylers. Hazy straw yellow with a huge soapy white head. Yeasty nose, some dough, and an interesting blast of bitterness. The flavors come across like a hopped up Belgian ale, and it works very well. The bitterness cleans the mouth leaving it a nice sharp finish. I’m sure the more times I had this beer, the more flavors I’d notice.

Pour a pale straw color with a very frothy white head that lasts and lasts. The taste is very hoppy with a bit of fruit in the finish. The palate is vary "fizzY’ as this beer is hugely carbonated (beware every bottle I have opened over-flows). This is a great blending of style and an all around wonderful beer.

Pours a hazy light gold color with a tight white head. Very sweet, pilsen malt aroma with a small amount of hop pushing through, surrounded by yeasty fruitiness. Seemingly light body for 9%with moderate carbonation and heavy lacing. Citrus hop flavors surrounded by candy sweetness. Decent amount of alcohol warming at the back of the tounge and throat.

75cl bottle via trade with 1_2many. Just a really interesting beer that combines a tripel and an IPA perfectly. Hazy, cloudy gold colour with a big white head and sticky lacing.Big fruity hops in the aroma. Flavour is more citrus hops built on a malty backbone and just a hint of tripel spice. 9ABV barely noticeable, which is dangerous with a 750.

Tap at the The Thirsty Monk Asheville. Pours a cloudy gold with a huge white head. Sweet malt and lots of spicy hops and maybe a touch of pepper. Taste is malty with spicy hops that give it a nice bite. Crisp and easy drinking, this was wonderful.

75 cl bottle poured into trappist glass- poured cloudy golden yellow like wheat straw laying freshly cut, one finger white head slowly disappeared to become clumps on the liquid surface and laced heavily, high-medium carbonation. Aroma of yeast, wheat malt, and unbaked cookie dough. Hits the mouth with a high-light body, malt is light and airy, spices come in immediately and are very enjoyable, sweetness in the background throughout, late middle and finish has nice hop profile. Worth every penny that I spent on it!

Take a Westmalle Tripel, add tons of hops, dry hop, and shake it up. This is it. A very good tripel, hopped to hell like an American Imperial IPA. this is amazing. Great aroma with citrus, Belgian yeast, golden malt. Flavor doesn’t let down. This was a good new idea.
