Flavor was very well balanced with the hops present but still a little sweet. A great brew. CapFlu (3481), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy golden yellow with a huge white, foamy head. Aroma is hoppy with yeast. Flavor is the citrusy and spiciness, blended well with a bitterness. I picked up on the characteristics of an English style IPA. I welcomed changed that is worth trying. gameface23 (131), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 22, 2008 Cloudy orange color with a big fluffy head that leaves impressive lacing. Yeasty, sweet yet spicy nose. Flavor resembles a tripel way more than an IPA. buzzoven (333), Japan
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Aug 22, 2008 Bottle from The Raleigh Times. This one had a nice floral hoppy nose with a sparkling golden orange colour that looked great in the tall, thin serving glass. Although I was not overly interested in drinking this at the time (due to this being my 5th high ABV brew of the night) but it was enjoyable. A bit too Belgian and less IPA for my personal tastes but there were some interesting characteristics of this beer. A very lemony tone with some rounded winey fruit flavours popping up. The finish was balanced but it was hard for me to cope with some of the funky earthiness of it. 12many (231), Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Very hazy yellow with a pretty intense head. Lacing is impressive as well. Aroma has a lot of spiciness, yeast, sugar, and some subtle hops. Flavor hits very sweet at first but is quite very bitter towards the end. The bitterness becomes less pronounced as I continue to drink. Very carbonated, very smooth, very good. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Pours a beautiful hazy golden with a huge, fluffy off-white head that lasts forever and leaves wonderful lacing on the glass. Nose is spicy candied ginger and cinnamon, cookie malts. The flavor is intensely malty and spicy, with a nice floral hops underpinning and some honey, some refreshing bitterness. Warming but not unpleasant alcohol towards the finish. Long, lingering, peppery/spicy aftertaste, with yummy hops as well. This is really good. Soonah (910), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2008 From mcbackus via trade. The pour was a cloudy golden color with a nice creamy, almost rocky head. Lots of sweetness in the aroma, grassy and fruity. Light spice and some unchecked alcohol. The flavor is grassy, herbal with plenty of yeast and some light, tart fruits. A little bit of unpleasant alcohol was noticed. The mouthfeel was nice.
