Joakgust (320), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 13, 2009 Bottle, 75cl - Semi hazy golden yellow beer with a large frothy white head. Aroma is fruity with hints of green banana, tropical fruits and wheat. Flavor fruity with notes of yeast, passion fruit, hops and alcohol. A very easy to drink beer, specially considering the ABV. Very nice combo of two different styles. tgncc (796), Bellmore, New York, USA Aug 12, 2009 Very interesting brew. The aroma is like a tripel, spicy, orange peel, coriander. The appearance is a very pale yellow, white head. The flavor is like the aroma would imply, it’s spicy, hoppy, wheat. The finish has some spiciness, and a clear noble hop presence. Nice beer, very different. Frovigalning (398), , Sweden Aug 10, 2009 It poured a hazy golden liquid with a huge icecream looking foam that left allot of lacing on the side of the glas.
It had an aroma of yeast, hops and ripe fruit.
It was smooth with a flavor of grassy hops, honey and yeast. The alcohol was well hidden and I didn’t expect the 9% that was printed on the bottle. It was also a bit dry. planky84 (99), , Greater London, England Aug 9, 2009 75cl bottle from GBBF. Pours a hazy golden colour, good lasting head. Has a hoppy, fruity aroma with citrus notes. Nice carbonation which tingles on the tongue. Has a peppery, citrus flavour with an underlying sweetness.Leaves a dry hoppy finish. An excellent, very refreshing version of a decent American IPA! TEJA (281), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 8, 2009 This is the best of many stiles. The fine belgo aroma, the nice hop taste of english ales and the american bite from a good IPA. Beerman6686 (1263), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 7, 2009 This one poured a cloudy yellow to orange color with a big whit ehead. Aroma was yeast, spice, and some skunk. Flavor was much like the aroma, subtle spice flavors, some banana, slight bittering hops and seemingly a funky skunky taste. Maybe this got exposed to too much light or somethin but this wasnt too amazing. Furseth (1328), Kungälv, Sweden Aug 7, 2009 Bottle: Hazy yellow colour, with a big head! Aroma of lots of citrus and flowers! Flavor had lots of citrus, flowery, and the typical belgian yeastynes from this brewery, and as it stands in the head "Abbey Trippel" so i can agree there is a mix og belgian abbey and a strong US IPA. Some caramel and malty sweetnes is there to. Medium body and a medium fruity finish. Nice mix this one, well done.
Kalli (474), Falun, Sweden Aug 5, 2009 Dry, alcoholic aroma with fruity esters. I’d say pineapple and citrus but I’m not entirely certain.
Noticeable alcohol in the mouth but nothing bad there. Full flavour, warming with spicy, bitter hops finishing.
