| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 21, 2006 Cloudy yellow, huge foamy white head. Noticeably sweet aroma - notes of banana and I swear a salty smell, too. Kind of yeasty at first, then grapefruity bitterness. The traditional tripel flavors blend well with the IPA-style bitterness and the two flavors eachhold it own to the end. Tasty stuff. Sampled at Noogfest2 Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2006 Very light yellow with egg white head. Unbelievably beautiful head. Really controlled alcohol with a very saazy, grassy hop sensibility. Warming. michael-pollack (2718), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 11, 2007 750ml Bottle: Aroma is yeasty and hoppy. Smells of fresh cut grass, yeast, fir, and pine. Poured golden in color with a huge, dense, creamy, white head. Very good head. Clear, but full of tons of chunky particles. Sparkling. Flavor is medium bitter. Very hoppy with notes of pine, resin, a little mint, and a tiny bit of citrus. Seems more bitter than some beers with more IBUs. Full body. Thick, viscous texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. Overall, the best Tripel I’ve had to date. IrishBoy (2718), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 3, 2006 (Bottled, Akkurat, Stockholm, 2 Sep) Colour is orange with a huge, rocky white head. Nose is full of citrus (orange, grapefruit, lemon) with a lovely, fresh, fruity and floral hop aroma. Taste is fruity with loads of citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and a fresh, floral, citrussy hoppy bitterness. Seriously hoppy and long finish. Hints of yeast as well. This is superb stuff. notalush (2681), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 7, 2006 This is the beer that Urthel Hop-It wishes it was - cloudy golden pour, with substantial, clingy lace - aroma of pear, peach, banana, piney hops, fresh bread, lavender and other wild flowers - nice and soft on the palate - the light fruit from the aroma comes first, followed by the lavender - everything one would expect from a tripel is what dominates the front end - then, as if by magic, heavy bready malt and those wonderful American hops muscle their way in the middle of everything - but, unlike with Hop-It, they never overpower the delicate belgian taste - awesome stuff. nick76 (2676), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Updated: Jan 7, 2009The aroma has a nice flowery hop bouquet with yeast and malt. The appearance is one of the finest ever. The head is huge and so foamy that it’s like whipped cream. The color is gold and hazy. The flavor is sweet and bitter with some citrus and pine. The palate is typical for a Belgian. This is nice and worth a try. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 25, 2006 After its disinterment from the 750ml brown bottle, it sets in the glass a bemused golden yellow with a demonstrative creamy off white head that settles slowly forming a glutinous coating of lace. Nose is dominated by the grassy hop floral aroma, banana like, pepper and orange peel, citrus like in its crispness, start is sweet with a delightful grain presence and the top moderate in its feel. Finish is prickly in its acidity, the hops potent, with a desert dry aftertaste that welds itself to your palate, a beer with multiple personalities, I found if quite drinkable, different for sure.
