Taste was caramelly malt with fruity hop at first actually in the background, with a gentle hop bitterness in the finish. On the second and third sip ,the hops became more noticeable, and by the end, dominated. An enjoyably different big hop brew. And when I was completely finished ,I still had a huge rocky snowball of foam sitting at the bottom of the glass SuzyGreenberg (1382), Seattle, Washington, USA

Initial aroma of cedar woods and pears unravels cleanly into piles of clementine and pine needle hops. Very odd taste of adhesive is foremost, settling into a more palateable and general sour territory eventually. Peated and woody body with a zing of mandarin orange. Synthetic, quickly drying finish. A bit of a muddle, but interesting. Likely to revisit this one. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

Aroma is earthy with tons of floral hops. Slight yeast background. Flavor is full of bitter hops with a distinct banana like finish. Honestly doesn’t remind me much of an IPA but it definitely works as a bitter tripel. Hats off to Brasserie dAchouffe for pushing the boundaries! JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Sweet belgian esters. Very balanced and nice. Nice euro malt aromas and slight malt. Some grass.
Very nice sweet combination of an IPA and a tripel (go figure). Its got the sweet belgian yeast thing, with some hops and a nice balance

HUGE fluffy white head that just won’t go away. Nose is as interesting with a bit of citrus (lemon or grapefruit), funk, spice and hops. Flavor follows suit with the nose and appearance, a bit hoppy, a bit spicy, a bit citrusy, and a bit funky. Mouthfeel is a touch smooth and coating. Quite an experience. nickd717 (1374), Palo Alto, California, USA

Hazy golden color with white foamy head. The hops plus Belgian yeast and sweet pale malt work well together. Nice medium body and dry finish. The tripel/IPA combo I’d like to see more Belgian brewers attempt.
