Cloudy hazy gold with a small head by the time it made it back from the tap to our table at Monks. Tastes like a tripel, with significant bready yeast flavor and some citrus, but slammed slammed slammed with American hops. Not hopped to American IPA intensity but well beyond traditional tripel. A wonderful marriage of two of my favorite styles. drfabulous (1241), Columbia, Missouri, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 29, 2006 Bottled 750. Bought in Charlotte at Brawley’s. Beer was hazy, light yellow iwth a large, rocky, off-white, mostly lasting head. The aroma was pretty dang neat! All of the hoppiness of an American IPA beautifully balanced on the complex nose of a good Belgian Tripel. Skippy! Aroma was malty with light notes of cookie/caramel, moderate notes of tasted grain; Heavily hoppy with a complex little portfolio of flowers, herbs, lemon and resin/pine; Yeasty with a light note of barnyard, moderate notes of cobweb, dough and soap; Moderate miscellaneous note of banana, light notes of honey and oak. The flavor was moderately-to-heavily sweet, heavily bitter with a long, moderately bittersweet finish. Remarkably clean finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and teh carbonation was lively. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Hazy golden color with a humongous rocky white head that left sticky lacing all over the glass. Nice hoppy, yeasty aroma with some citrus, hay and malt. Flavor is mildly sweet malts, lots of yeast, wet hay and a nice citrus hop finish. I liked Urthel Hop-It and I think I like this one a little more. The hop presence is much more pronounced. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2006 Bottle from Sam’s. well I think that they tried too hard to do too much and came up too short. Funky syrupy brew with a layer of pear flavor over a hoppiness that just had no real definition to me. It wasn’t bad by any means but just I came off wondering what I just drank. zebracakes (1215), Washington DC, USA
