I was very enjoyable but, I would like to try other brews by the brasserie d’ achouffe.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 23, 2009 shared a bottle with a good friend at the Garrison. definitely a unique beer as clearly an IPA, but lots of fruitiness in the finish. While not an ideal IPA (a bit light on the bitterness) or a Belgian (hops masks many of the subtle flavours), it satisfies both needs at the same time. certainly a must-try for lovers of both styles. wyzzywyz22 (799), Wirral, Merseyside, England
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Poured a hazy golden colour with a good sized pillowy white head. Aroma was yeasty with a hearty dose of piney-citrus hop and maybe a bit of spice. Super tasty flavour that had a big hop presence, but was still well balanced with well appropriated malt and yeast, hence the tripel angle i suppose. Fresh, clean and zesty. Dry, bitter finish. A well executed and tasty amalgamation of styles. Dig it. Vaiz (142), Netherlands
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Pours a clear blonde color, with a thick white head that quickly dissipates. It has an aroma that hints of fruits, pale lager and German hops. Its taste is however magnificent. Very lively carbonation, bubbly texture and a lot of screaming hops in the mix. This one has a definite bitter taste that remains during a long finish. Great. Gypsy19 (654), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2009 25 and 2/5 ounce bottle, $8.99, from Beverages & More! Fairway. Pours a golden yellow with a large ivory head. Aroma has big hops and Belgian yeast, a little cane sugar as well. Flavor is a very round hoppy tripel. A proper tripel, with a substantial dose of hops as promised. A little sweetness rounds out the flavor and leaves a slightly sweet finish. Smooth mouthfeel as expected, medium viscosity. Perhaps a little overrated in the 3.9 range, but very easy to enjoy by IPA and tripel lovers alike. Overall, good to very good. cgarvieuk (4212), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Bottle. Attractive clear golden with a thick, billowy white head. Kind of a “dusty” herbal hop aroma, pretty subdued. Flavor is mostly pale malt with ample hop bitterness, perhaps a tinge of Belgian fruity yeast character but not much. Some residual sweetness in there. The hop character is mostly herbal/earthy. I don’t pick up any of the Amarillo or Tomahawk though. medium bodied with a spritzy, lively carbonation. Nice texture. Would like to give this one another try sometime. stobbe74 (714), Denmark
