Rich pale golden color beneath a rocky meringue-like pillowy head that retreats to sexy Belgian lace within a few minutes. Faint yeast wispies dance in the beer as well.
Nose is lemony, clean, and somewhat metallic. The clean character is more like clean n’ fresh.
Palate offers an interesting balance of background malt with citrusy sweet hops, and the light fruitiness of the yeast is at play also. Nice balance and complexity, without being hit over the head with any particular component of the experience. Long, juicy-fruit finish and again very "fresh clean".

Strong fresh grassy hop aroma with nice sweet, yeasty notes. Nice hoppy bitterness right away, followed by a lightly sweet, yeasty, malty, and slightly alcoholic finish. Great lightly bitter-sweet palate, and very well-balanced. Definately my favorite Chouffe. bonbright7 (173), Bellport, New York, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 10, 2007 This one made a splash in my kitchen with a tremendous uneven head that took a while to simmer down. The great malt sweetness invited my senses to take a taste of this rich and lightly spiced ale. The three hop varieties were very present as a unified whole in both taste and smell in each round of tasting. The aftertaste was a mix a candi sugar and bitterness. To my surprise, I didn’t notice the alcohol at all...until later on. This was one of the great bottles for me. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA

Flavor is full of funk and hops. Earthy aftertaste like a deep clay. Yeast is definitely there as well. Robust is the key word here. Feel has a nice level of carbonation and a good liquid feel. Overall very good. Extremely hearty and robust, yet consistent. kevinthesipper (10), Matawan, New Jersey, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 17, 2007 poured from a 750ml capped bottle (purchased roughly March ’07) into a Chouffe-branded goblet :-)
A: Massive carbonation builds a huge fluffy white head on top of a beautiful golden body. Lacing is immediate & throughout, the bubbles never cease floating upwards from the bottom of the glass. Nice!
S: Belgian yeast mingles nicely with a sweet, flowery hoppy aroma. Not overwhelming at all.
T/M: Initial sips let you know there is alcohol in this brew, a characteristic I’ve noticed in many Belgians; I’m sure as it warms a bit the hops will move to the forefront and the hooch will be covered up more. Very warming. There is a slight mustiness to the body, some solid hop bitterness at the finish, and lots of different notes of sour apple, sweet pears and other characteristics of a Belgian tripel. Complex, and very interesting! Mouthfeel is fizzy and velvety smooth all at once. Very dry finish with definite grapefruit bitterness.
D: Not entirely sure how "drinkable" this beer is, as the complexities and the 9% ABV will see to it that a single 750ml bottle is more than enough. Great for sharing or at a tasting.

Clear golden coloured with a massive and lasting egg white head. Nice lacings. Very fizzy/bubbly brew. Floral aroma with notes of citrus fruits, honey, yeast, grass, herbs and sweet pale malt. Bitter and floral flavour with notes of grapefruit, pale malt, yeast and lots of hops. You really can’t taste the 9 % of alcohol. Really well made. Sadly you can’t get this one in Denmark..
