Fruit, hops, and classic belgian high temp fermentation alcohol taste. Wonderful beer. TopherDrinks (96), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy dark yellow with an enormous white head. Incredibly fruity aromas(apples, oranges, pears), mixed with hay, spices, hints of malts, and a ton of citrus hops. Taste is sweet and malty up front with a dry, spiced IPA finish. A second glass begins to explode with resinous hops on the nose. An almost banana malt sweetness is now present upfront. Once the carbonation dies down a bit, it is a fully complex yet enjoyable brew. Perfect "marriage" between the styles. fidelis83 (729), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 17, 2009 12oz. from John’s Grocery. Pours milky honey with a fairly large number of small particulates, many of which are constantly in motion from the high effervescence and large bubbles. Head in my chalice is nearly 2 fingers of fluffy yellowish beige foam that lasts as long as this drink did (I poured it fairly cold, probably 45 minutes altogether) and leaves nice thick foamy lacing the whole way down. Aroma is citrus, grass, fruity yeast, burnt sugar, toffee, musty hay, peach, yeasty bread rolls, lemon and wheat. Flavor is caramel, melon, pineapple, arpricot, yeasty bread, grapefruit, honey wheat dinner rolls, weak herbal hops, peach cobbler, hints of light toffee, almond and some orange zest. Finish is bitter grapefruit, sweet grainy and caramel malts, lots of fruity esters and some generally citrus notes. Palate is medium thickness, dry and slightly sticky on the lips, finishes dry and slightly acidic. Fantastic Tripel in my opinion and by far the best IPA/Tripel hybrid I have had. OFlan (14), USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 28, 2008 Wonderful beer. The flavor is that of a nice, tangy belgian abbey type fruitiness that is blended with a massive amount of noble and american hops. This provides a very floral beer, with a full yeast presence and a nice bitterness and tang to it as well. Very complex, very unique.
The one thing absolutely blew me away with this beer was the creamy head. This head was like pure whip cream. WHen you took a sip and shaped to your mouth. When the beer was gone, the head was still a lovely puff of creaminess at the bottom of the glass. Delicious and adds a great texture to the beer overall. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 21, 2008 Updated: Jul 7, 2008Bottle in chalice. Pours hazy gold with a magnificent creamy, pillowy, rocky white head. Looks more like the head on a cappuccino than that of a beer; beautiful, and lasts forever. Aroma is citrus, yeasty, spice. Taste is complex; begins with candy-like sweetness, before moving to spicy yeast and citrus, and finishing with a dry, pronounced hop bitterness that lingers on the palate. Mouthfeel is crisp, well carbonated and with a dry finish. Intriguing and very complex beer, absolute masterpiece. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

So misleading by the appearance. Looks like a cheap Heifeweizen. This is one of the most complexest beers I’ve ever tried. I don’t even know what to say about it. I am so impressed and confused and scared and overwhelmed. Just get this and try it. Absolutely blown away. Fruitfly (59), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 5, 2008 33 cl bottle. It’s a cloudy golden color with a very unusual fluffy cotton-like head that settles very slowly and unevenly. The head remains unique and is the basis for the "5". Malt is considerably more apparent in the nose than hops, odd for an IPA but this new balance seems to be their focus. Carmamel first, then grapefruit, then a range of pleasant esters. An even medium and slightly bitter body that settles across your tongue for a long bitter finish. The 9% remains unapparent. Not as hoppy as I expected but it turned out to be an excellent mix of styles that I’d highly recommend. Ryan82SM (268), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Interesting aroma in this one: ripe citrus, clover and spicy hop character. The yeast seems to be in a state of suspended animation in my glass, nice carbonated head as well. Definitely an IPA, with hops and citrus abound. The tripel part comes later, and has a nice finish of clove and yeast. Palate is very active, yet maintains a certain creaminess as well. I was blown away by this underrated beer.
