Commercial Description:
Pear is a fruit of patience! A pear tree needs 50 years to reach its maturity but will live for more than 200 years. This unique blend of Plant de Blanc, Muscadet, Tricotin, Avenelle and Poire de Grise varieties gives our Poire its typical balance. A delicate marriage between crisp acidity and discreet sweetness.
Its typical lightness and elegance make Poire a traditional drink in Normandy. Its fine bubbles are naturally produced in the bottle. Poire is both refreshing and festive. You will enjoy Poire served chilled in a champagne flute, as an aperitif. It also goes beautifully with shellfish, salads, steamed fish, goat cheese or fruits sorbet.

Poured like champagne, very fizzy. Clear golden bubbly color with lots of white head. Aroma of pears and apples. Very nice drink.

Appearance: Gushes out a pale yellow body with an endlessly fizzy, white head. Fizzy like hydrogen peroxide on a festering, gaping wound. Smell: Tart-smelling pear aroma with a dirty, unclean note to it, but that may be me raising a stink about the impending mess I have to sop up. Taste: Juicy pear flavor with a fair amount of both tartness and sweetness. Slight acidity throughout. Mild, musty funk to it. Drying finish with a light, lingering tartness. Mouthfeel: Light, delicate body. Explosive carbonation. Drinkability: Ugh, what a fucking mess! Nothing’s worth this level of cleanup. Pair this one with a dash to the sink.

22oz bottle. Recommended heartily by Solan and TheCheeseman. Cork blew out of this bitch the minute I opened the cage. Scared the crap out of me. Didn’t gush though. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a towering fizzy white head that diminishes like ginger ale. The nose is pear, spice and tart sourness. This is a really good tasting cider. Very tart and sour and super dry. Almost champagne like. Awesome pear finish. Deep and different for a cider. Glad I got this. Thanks guys!

Hazy off-white color with a towering white head that collapses in seconds. Tart pear and pear skins aroma. Grassy beginning to the taste. As it settles, a dry pear seeps out. Definitely a crisp, slightly tart pear flavor. Very little sweetness, mostly in the form of table sugar. Much better than the overall score indicates.

Pours like a good sparkling wine. Light golden color with a very foaming head. Aroma is of pears (I guess). My pear nose is not that sophisticated. Taste is refreshing. Taste of pears. Acid in nature. Served in a Champagne flute.
