Rich, smooth, roasted malty taste. Yes, nice job. porterhouse (1156), Alna, Maine, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 8, 2007 (Bottle via trade with <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=3 target=blank>shigadeyo, thanks Craig!) Pretty decent...Pours dark orangish brown or auburn, whatever it’s called. One finger of biscuit head melts away to a thin layer. Nose is caramel, brown sugar, sourdough bread and a bit of pine. Mouthfeel medium-full, a touch pebbly. Very lightly syrupy. Nice webby, curtainy lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and malty - brown sugar, caramel and toffee. Lightly bready. Light bitter piney hit through finish. Kind of a light duty but well done doppel. rmussman (905), California, USA

Flavor is pretty nice and alcohol content is high for a traditonal summer brew. A good brew overall. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
