Jun 5, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Hazy, orangey brown with a rough, off-white head. Lovely concentrated aroma of roasted malt. Quite full-bodied with lots of sweetish, roasted malt - almost nutty. Very subdued bitterness. A real treat for a malthead - lovely. 310507

Jul 14, 2006 Pours a transparent copper mahogany with a thin, wispy off-white head. Rich caramel malty earthy aroma has a touch of tartness and German lager yeast. Starts semi-sweet, thinning some with grainy flavor and mild acidity toward the finish. Fairly authentic character, but needs some more balance and complexity.

Feb 14, 2007 Nice look, a deep reddish chestnut body with a decent tan head. Moderate lacing. It smells of lightly roasted malts and dark caramel with a touch of chocolate and dried dark fruits. Nice carbonation. The flavor is sweet and malty with just enough of a nutty, earthy bitterness to keep it under control.
