Commercial Description:
A classic Munich-helles style lager with the emphasis on complex malt flavors and low hop character - in accordance with the style. Brewed with 2-row pale and Caramel 60 malts and Saaz and Hallertau hops. This was the first American beer to certifiably pass the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot Purity Law of 1516.

Sweet tasting seemed like it was brewed by a confectioner. Distinct caramel taste. Weak aroma was almost non existant.

This is like malt liquor. Great name, good color and nice aroma. Sort of heavy but unpleasantly bitter.

Give me a bowl of Camp Washington chili and a bottle of Christian's and I'm in Cincy Heaven! Not a great beer, but definitely one with local color. effervescent and light in body, a maltier alternative to the standard Hudepohl.

Light orange with a quickly disappearing head. Initially strong sugary alcohol aroma and flavor, reminiscent of malt liquor, but this is a fuller malt-bodied to make it a better beer than Old English 800.

Bottle. Hazy golden orange color with a white head. A strong malty flavor that was assertive and enjoyable for the style. A wheaty texture.

I didn't know what I was buying with this brand, but I was reasonably pleased by the effort here. Slightly sweet despite the German hops--somehow the Saaz and Hallertau just jumped out at me--and the rest of the beer's dimensions displayed such balance. Clear and crisp with a hint of a dusty flavor, as well as a bit of caramel. Golden amber color. Good quality, though not especially interesting.

Pours a clear gold, small head and minimal carbonation. Aroma is mostly malty, slightly sweet, and that carried over into the flavor as well. Thanks to gerdy555 for this one!
