Commercial Description:
Unfiltered bottle.
Ingredients: Water, Barely Malt, Hops, Yeast.
Christoffel Blond is a bottom fermented golden-coloured beer with a full body, a very balanced taste and a beautiful bitterness due to a generous addition of fresh hop during the brewing-process. The aroma is fruity and has a fresh taste with a pleasant, hoppy finish.

Christoffel Blond is a hopheads delight. It's just dripping with herbal, piney hop goodness and just enough bready malt flavours to carry the hops through to the lingering bitter finish. From the cloudy, shimmering appearance to the elegant middle to the assertively bitter finale, this is an exercise in style. It's a shame that it is appreciated by so few.

Long lasting medium beige head slowly collapses to a craggy mountain of foam before finally settling down. The most astounding suspended yeast I’ve ever seen in a beer (similar to Two Hearted Ale but better). A couple years and several bottles later, and I’ve yet to find anything to compete with this in the pilsner category. I find it hard to imagine a better pilsner available in North America. Incredible herbaceous hop character, long aftertaste. Water, barley malt, hops, yeast, you can taste it all in high definition. Full-bodied for the style. This one always reminds me why I love beer in the first place.

Medium frothy head on a hazy pale gold beer. Nothing in the aroma stands out either way. Full-bodied pale malts backed up with solid grassy herbal hops. Actually very tasty! Certainly refreshing and supremely balanced. I just wish I didn’t have to go all the way to Toronto to get this.

Fresh herbal, grassy, lightly spicy hops with underlying crisp, grainy malt character. Hazy golden body is topped by a generous and foamy white head that recedes slowly but steadily to a lasting cover with some fine lacing. Crisp bitterness with spicy, herbal hop flavour and some light grainy maltiness. Hop flavour and bitterness linger on the tongue. Engaging effervescent mouthfeel and light refreshing body make this a pleasure to drink. Bottle (from Downtown Liquors in Boston).

Nice aroma when popping the cork (and afterwards), and great cloudy appearance, with nice dry taste. Excellent brew.

The hoppy, flowery aroma made me think of rose petals oddly enough. Attractive weiss-like appearance and a taste that is out of this world. Complex, flowery, bitter and so much more.

Hazy golden body topped by a large and beautiful off-white fomay head. The bubbles form cells of ever increasing size until finally they breach the top and vanish with a poof and a small collapse of the head. This is the first beer I have ever seen whose head collapses as a step function. The aroma is loaded with herbal hops, light rotting grass, and more. Hops hops and more hops. The flavor is also massive hops. Hugely herbal with light pine. The malt is there but its job is simply to support the hops. Medium bitter throughout. Damn this is a fine brew. One of the best pilseners I have ever had or likely ever will have. I could drink gallons of this stuff.

Rerate: A truly great beer - among the greatest ever, I think. Past the butteriness that I and other mention, there goes this tiny little lilting sour hay. This has got hop and malt pouring out. Fantastic. Original: I think joey_c nails it here - this is herbal hop heaven (Saaz and...something else...spicy Hallertau?), but also very buttery, with even piney bitterness. Lovely lovely stuff; full body (although I was expecting even more), excellent handling of the alcohol (when most lagers approach 6% they get stinky, IMO) - delicious and big thanks to radiomgb!
