Christoffel Bier / Blond

A very sweet aroma eminates from this beer with notes of fruit, berries, elderflower, and yeast. The color is orange and it has a huge head. The flavor is of lemon, elderflowers, honey, lemongrass, fresh hops, and with a rather bitter dry finish.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Lightly hazy golden, rich head. Powerful flowery grassy hoppy nose. dry with crisp pilsnerish malt, only ramped up in size. Lingering very bitter finish. Almost bordering to become inky. More of an "imperial pilsener" than anything else I’ve tried.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale golden, opaque beer with a rather solid head - indeed an unusual pilsener look, if this really is to be considered a pilsener? Lovely, flowery nose - the aroma hops are very present here. Some late hopping adds wonderful hoppy aromas to complete a fresh and very bitter beer. Unusual. 191096 and 190802

Christoffel Blond is a hopheads delight. It's just dripping with herbal, piney hop goodness and just enough bready malt flavours to carry the hops through to the lingering bitter finish. From the cloudy, shimmering appearance to the elegant middle to the assertively bitter finale, this is an exercise in style. It's a shame that it is appreciated by so few.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow coloured with a small white head. Aroma of malts, fruits, spices and hops. Flavour of malts, grape fruit and hops. Dry grape fruity finish.
