Aug 20, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with an off-white head. Fruity and caramel malty aroma. Slight berry flavour, caramel malty and more dry than sweet. Malt and bitterness lingering into the finish. Good but also a bit on the boring site imho.

Aug 4, 2007 330ml bottle, Gollem, Amsterdam, 10/02/07. Pours a reddish amber with a very thin, lacy head. The taste has decent bittersweet berry flavours and hints of orange peel, but not much is evident in the aroma. The finish is cloying and coats the mouth. A bit of a strange beer, that reminded me of another, but I couldn’t remember what!

Jul 24, 2007 Very rich maltiness, earthy caramel malts with a mild hop finish. Stays malty throughout with a light fruity finish that tastes like faintly tart cherries. Pours with very little carbonation, deep hazy red/brown color with just a thin white head. Nice beer, but could use a bit of carbonation.

Jul 19, 2007 Bottle. Brown beer with a tan head. Malty, mineral aroma. Caramel flavor with some mineral and spice and slight lemon. Caramel and mineral lingers. Medium body. Easy drinking.

Jul 6, 2007 11.2oz flip top, notched @ 02 2005. Pours a clear orange brown with a small beige head. Aroma is predominately funky sour cherries and a small amount of vinegar. There is also a little bit of sweet caramel, but not much. I’ve not had many Viennas, but this doesn’t seem like one to me. Flavor has more earthy caramel, light toffee with no vinegar. The fruity tart cherries have been toned back a bit, thankfully. I dare say this is sweet! Very low bitterness with just a little sweetness in the finish. Medium body with soft prickly carbonation. This turned out better than I’d though it would have. As I look at reviews I see there are Vienna Sours, of which this would be my first one, so it gets a little bit better points in a couple categories.

Jul 3, 2007 Swing top bottle. Pour is a brown with a average white head. Aroma is deffinatly super sweet malts with some brown sugar added. Flavor is a let down. Very weak. Some sweet malts but nothing that compares to the aroma. A just ok beer but it did come with a glass and some coasters.

Jun 27, 2007 Poured a dark bronze color, with a large yet rapidly fading head. Citric, tart, fruity and somewhat sour aroma - odd, but complex and balanced. The flavor starts out sweet & sour, then finishes very malty with caramel sweetness and a long lingering, tart sourness. Good balance. Mouthfeel was solid, could use a bit more carbonation though. You don’t see much Vienna Sours around here and this one is surprisingly good.
