Nose is nutty toffee and light chocolate, some light orange citrus hop. Flavor is lightly hazelnut, medium malt, some cookie flavors. Drier than expected finish, muted bitter citrus finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2006 Nice hazy brown body with a beige lasting head. Aroma is nutty, with hazelnut and almonds complimented with some milk chocolate, toffee, cherry and a touch of citurs hops. Starts of sweet with lots of caramel malt, maple syrup and biscuits, then it starts to bitter up as it finishes with a drier citrus finish. Lots of nice flavours but just a tad to sweet for me. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2006 Wow, what a coincidence. Murph and I were just discussing 6-9-06, and I see that this one has a 69 overall score. Bottle from Super Saver. The pour is a nice deep brown with a 2-finger khaki head. Aromas of heavy corn flakes greet the nose, with some hazelnuts, grapey fruits, and a lot of brown sugar and cacao notes. The palate is not real complex, and a bit of a letdown after the great look and smell, with flavor hints of tart grapey fruit, some cereally malt, and some cacao, nuts, and brown sugar hints. cheeta (901), Langĺ, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2006 This one poured with a pretty big head after opening the swing top bottle. Healthy dark amber color with an aroma that was yeasty and somewhat cherry like. Flavor was intersting, with the strong malty base complimented with a light lemon juice type flavor, biscuits, and finishing with a bitter touch. Spices came through, even somewhat of a cinammon flavor (odd, I know they didn’t add it). Mouthfeel was nicely bodied. Good stuff, but overpriced. Lubiere (4482), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2006 Hazy brown ale with a thick creamy light moka head. Aroma of caramel and herbal hops, with some light signs of oxidation. In mouth, a rather sweet pruney malt, with light nuttyness and some crispyness. Hops come later, herbal in character. Some light alcohol warmth. Medium bodied, but a bit cloying. BB B/02/2006 (?). Pinball (2781), Allerřd, Denmark
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 1, 2006 this one was too cold at the first sip. Do not drink too cold. However, when it warmed up a little it grew a very nice character. if it hadn’t changed it would’ve been a 1.9’er..!
too sweet, and a little too much alcohol with nothing to show for it. Not one i will buy again, but if offered i will drink it with pleasure.
this beer is just not me. generic 6% cheap strong beer taste, you will probably disagree.
