nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2005 Nice aroma and flavor. The aroma is sweet and malty as expected. The appearance is a medium brown and it has a nice head. The flavor is very malty and lightly malted. Its is also a little toasted. Nice caramel aftertaste. willblake (2160), Belcamp, Maryland, USA Aug 19, 2005 08.19.05 330ml swingtop. Cloudy light auburn with small head of lasting tan foam. Aroma is salt and pepper malts, dried flowers, cinnamon, and dried pit fruits. Absolutely stunning aroma, beautiful. Flavor is mildy sweet, doughy and salty soft pretzel, lingering gorp. Spiciness from hops and yeast lingers long after the swallow, hints of sour. Love it. FrankJohansen (3329), Sabro, Denmark Aug 14, 2005 Red brown colour and a small off-white head. Sweet taste of caramel but a bit watery Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 3, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Very pretty reddish amber with a beige head. Presumably clear and filtered but hides a surprise sediment. Lovely aromatic, almost perfumy. Roasted and caramel malts in the flavours and a promounced sweetnes balanced well by the bittering hops. This is a classy beer indeed. 200602 Otje (668), Leiden, Netherlands Jul 31, 2005 hazy amber good looking beer. sweet malty, apricot, pineapple-like aroma. taste: sweet, caramel, banana, spicy. lots of banana in the finish. reminds me of a german dunkel weizzen. nice. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany Jul 21, 2005 Bottled. Nearly clear amber/red colour. Medium foamy head. Malty, fruity aroma, cranberry and plums. Malty, caramelly and fruity taste. Could be a bit more intense for my taste. Finishes lightly bitter. A good and drinkable beer. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Jun 19, 2005 35 cl Bottle: Pours a nice hazy amber with a thick tan head that shrinks initially but has some staying power. A malty plum/black cherry aroma. Fflavour is a bit thin with a sour finish. Toffee sweet notes to start with lively carbonation at the front. The alcohol taste is noticable but not overwhelming. JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Jun 15, 2005 Slightly hazy, amber coloured, with a slim off-white head. Nice and strong aroma of spices, caramel, yeast and malt. Complex flavours going on; sweet malty taste initially , some sourness later with fruit, nuts and spices in between. Thin to medium moufeel, quite highly carbonated. Could easily pass for a more than decent belgian beer.
