Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Copper pour with fluffy white head - mildly sweet aroma of dark malts - toasty, biscuity flavor that balances well with the sweet malt backbone - finish is hoppy and a little thin - tasty, but not worth the 3.50 for the 11.2 oz.

Nice aroma and flavor. The aroma is sweet and malty as expected. The appearance is a medium brown and it has a nice head. The flavor is very malty and lightly malted. Its is also a little toasted. Nice caramel aftertaste.

Medium head, hazy amber body. Aroma is sweet fruity and malty with toffee undertones. Flavor is also sweet fruity and malty with a somewhat strange eartly tone. An OK beer without beeing great!

Bottle, Ciro’s. Great bottle. Dark yellow pour, slight crisp hop aroma. Wonderful slightly sweet lager taste with hint of crisp hops. Medium bodied. Full of flavour and well balanced, this is a lager that actually satisfies. Not complex at all but a damn good beer - I’m 2/2 with these guys.

I quite like the Christoffel Blond, but this doesn’t stand up to that one. Dusty, even farty nose. Clear orange-amber color and a tight fizzy head. Sugary honey malt with a napkin like staleness to it. Peppery spiced end that lingers in the sides of the mouth. Crips metallic mouth feel. Medium body. Overall just odd and somehow off the mark.

Colour is a hazy dark amber with a small white head. Pleasant, mellow aroma of malt with a flowery edge. Nice and crisp mouthfeel. Malty flavour with sweet toffee and fruit. Faint hint of hops in the finish.
