Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

330 ml bottle. Golden, clear body with a white head. Discreet aroma. Flavor is sweet and malty, some hops, and some caramel. Nothing really wrong here, but not exactly my type of beer. A bit boring.

Nice bottle. According to Michael Jackson this is one of the world’s great beers, but I found it very dry and bitter with some sweetness making it feel unbalanced.

Unlike the Blond, this one is more for the drink with the meal instead of a summer drinking beer. Nice taste of caramel malts. A very worthy beer for your time

Pours deep amber into a lager glass. White micro head quickly recedes to hug rim. Sour pit fruit aromas. Smooth sweet and sour malt with a lasting chalk finish.

Nice hazy brown body with a beige lasting head. Aroma is nutty, with hazelnut and almonds complimented with some milk chocolate, toffee, cherry and a touch of citurs hops. Starts of sweet with lots of caramel malt, maple syrup and biscuits, then it starts to bitter up as it finishes with a drier citrus finish. Lots of nice flavours but just a tad to sweet for me.

slight hazy copper color with little or no head. The taste is a wellbalanced mix of fruits with notes of yeast.

Pours with a two-finger white head that goes quickly and leaves no lace. Dark cloudy amber color. Good carbonation. Nose is malty. Starts sweet and finishes with a balance of hops and malt. A nice dark lager. Medium bodied. $10 for a 2-pack of 330s with a glass.
