Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Pours hazy amber with a foamy tan head. Light sweet cherry and caramel with hop and yeast aroma. Citric sweet hoppiness throughout. Cereal and bready. Very mild, slightly sour. Some cherry tart. Earthy herbal finish with some late raisin, caramel and lemon.

Bottle pours a hazy red brown with a smallish head and some lace. The aroma is mild caramel and slightly spicy. The flavor is of caramel and some hops. Overall, this one is different, but drinks pretty well.

Fuck this I just rated this and the fucking site didn’t store it and I don’t feel like typing my notes again. Generic and somewhat bread like. Fuck this dirty beer and this site for screwing my notes.

Hazy almost orange colour. Interesting acidic fruitiness in aroma as well as flavour - balanced by a "candy like" sweetness. Impressively fruity for an underfermentated beer!

35 cl Bottle: Pours a nice hazy amber with a thick tan head that shrinks initially but has some staying power. A malty plum/black cherry aroma. Fflavour is a bit thin with a sour finish. Toffee sweet notes to start with lively carbonation at the front. The alcohol taste is noticable but not overwhelming.

Pours a dark reddish-brown with a momentary head and no lace. Aroma of sweet malt and dark... meat? Has a faint taste that reminds me of the juice from a medium-rare steak, along with a sweetness otherwise well-balanced with nice tart hops. Lingering but faint finish, thin body, and low carb. This would be an excellent beer with a bit more head, alongside a steak or beef stew. Otherwise sadly lacking.
