Commercial Description:
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Bottle. Hazy deep golden/amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel and nice fruitiness. Flavor of sweet caramel, toasty malt, good hoppiness. Bit dry sweetish finish. A very tasty brew. Thank you Tori.

Thick, creamy head. Very malty aroma. Mango, chocolate and caramel. Sweetish, malty taste with licorice and peach. Excellent beer. Bottle, sold as Biesbosch Bier. Probably the same beer as Robertus. Swing top bottle, brown color. Malty aroma with a hint of caramel. Malty, caramelly flavor with hints of pear drups. Flowery hops, with a hint of citrus in the finish. Almost full bodied. Well made dunkel. (7 3 7 3 13 = 3.3)

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from Lowlander. Bland aroma. Appearance only just scraped a 3. Flavour is bland and uninspiring. Like a dark lager to me. Surprised at some of the rates it has had.

Red-brown colour with slight off-white head that dissappears quickly. Weak fruity aroma with malty sweetness. The mouthfeel is spritzy, and the taste is a bit nutty with caramel sweetness.

Light copper body, generous beige head. Sweet caramel nose, big fruitiness (mango, apples) and nice leathery and grassy undertones. Palate is grassy (almost vegetably), brown-sugary. Smooth lagery mouthfeel.
