Sep 27, 2003 Tasted in Toronto from LCBO. Rusty orange / red colour. Thin white head, notable carbonation. Aroma is sweet candy floss / fruity / spicy scent. Taste starts of with malty / grain taste. Continues with a slight sweety and fruity taste. The sweet flavour lingers in the aftertaste.

Jul 31, 2005 hazy amber good looking beer. sweet malty, apricot, pineapple-like aroma. taste: sweet, caramel, banana, spicy. lots of banana in the finish. reminds me of a german dunkel weizzen. nice.

Apr 20, 2007 Citrus and malt aroma with a slight nuttiness. Almost no head to speak of. Deep amber color. Flavor is malty with a light developing yeastiness. Roasted sweetness that develops into a mild bitterness at the end. Mouth is mildly creamy. Somewhat flat. Flavor is good.

Feb 6, 2008 Pours a rich cherry red colour with thin receding head. Perfumed aroma of red fruits. The centre of the flavour is based around syrupy red fruits, most notably cherry & pomegranate. At the edge the malt tries to show it’s face but fails.

Dec 20, 2003 Hazy brown wih red tint, nice foamy head. Has a roasted malt aroma, hint of hops. Very malty body, at times very sweet (caramel) and at others dark and toasted, nutty. Very drinkable and thoroughly enjoyable.

May 23, 2007 Bouteille, Courtoisie de Jean-Marc G. De couleur brune rouge et semi-voilée. Nez malté de caramel doux légèrement rôti (notes de toffee) et léger de miel, léger de levures fruitées (raisins aux notes vineuses, traces de framboises et de cerises), de pain et de houblon floral (notes herbeuses) avec des notes de noix. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement bas-moyen et une texture moyennement crémeuse et légèrement sirupeuse. Goût de levures fruitées (léger de raisins aux notes vineuses, faibles notes de cerises, traces de framboises) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût malté de caramel sucré légèrement rôti (notes de toffee terreux et de sucre brun, traces de miel) avec un léger goût de pain parallèlement à une moyenne amertume de houblon floral et herbeux (notes terreuses) et accompagné jusqu’en finale d’un léger goût de noix asséchant et quelques notes de levures épicées (poivre). Post-goût moyen-long et aux notes sèches, moyennement amer de houblon floral et herbeux (notes terreuses), de rôti et de levures avec une légère aigreur fruitée (moût de raisins).

Jul 17, 2009 Came in a swing-top (always wondered what that was called) and poured a huge foamy head with good lacing into a dark amber colour. Aroma was moderately malty and same for the taste, i.e., malty but not overly so.
